      1 A POP-UP jungle is on its way to Glasgow Trades Hall. An urban greenhouse with a wide selection of plants – hanging, exotic, graphic or prickly, there’s something for everyone and for every budget.

      Organisers will also have a selection of pots and handmade baskets for you to pair with your new plants. The Bergamotte Urban Jungle will be available from October 21-24 and is free, although due to coronavirus restrictions it is imperative to book a slot. Card payment only, kids and dugs welcome.       2 OUR beloved National Theatre of Scotland has been producing great quality work despite the pandemic and they deserve our support. This week they have a spectacular podcast.       3 GLASGOW Women’s Library – that wonderful purveyor of all things fabulous (tea, cake, feminism and books) – has been no slouch in producing quality interesting online content and this week is no different, with the launch online of: Ways of Seeing: Shutter Speed Talks. How have women photographers in Scotland taken control of their own image? The Ways of Seeing online symposium will reveal neglected stories of Scottish women in photography, including feminist social documentary photographer Franki Raffles, folklorist Margaret Fay Shaw and more.       5 JOHN Byrne at 80 is a retrospective exhibition of his works in print by the revered Scottish playwright, writer and artist, who turned 80 earlier this year. The works have all been produced at Glasgow Print Studio since the early 1990s and includes a selection of new and exclusive hand-coloured screenprints created there this year (some of which were completed during lockdown).
