Sports Mole rounds up the latest transfer talk for Manchester United on Thursday, February 4.
The January transfer window has now closed, leaving Manchester United to begin looking forward to the summer for their next round of recruitment.
Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news on possible comings and goings from Old Trafford.
Thursday morning’s Manchester United transfer talk news roundup:
Manchester United have reportedly agreed a ‘lucrative’ first professional deal with Shola Shoretire.
The 17-year-old, who is capable of operating in a number of different forward positions, has scored twice and registered two assists in 12 Premier League 2 appearances for United’s Under-23s this term.
According to the Daily Mail, Shoretire’s performances at youth level had attracted attention from the likes of Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Juventus.
However, the report claims that the Red Devils have now agreed a professional contract with the teenager, who has already trained with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s first-team squad.
The former England Under-16s international made his UEFA Youth League debut at the age of 14 and has been tipped to make the breakthrough into the first team before the end of the campaign.
Shoretire played the full 90 minutes as United’s Under-23s side beat Liverpool Under-23s 6-3 last weekend.
Borussia Dortmund are reportedly prepared to sell Jadon Sancho for £88m during this summer’s transfer window.
The 20-year-old was strongly linked with a move to Manchester United last year, but BVB were allegedly not prepared to drop their £108m asking price for the England international.
Sancho has found it difficult to show his best form on a consistent basis for Dortmund this term but has still managed to contribute eight goals and 13 assists in 25 appearances in all competitions.
A recent report claimed that Amad Diallo’s arrival at Old Trafford could see the Red Devils end their pursuit of Sancho, who has a contract at Signal Iduna Park until June 2023.
However, according to Bild, Dortmund are keen to tempt United into a move this summer by reducing their asking price to £88m, which is thought to be a £20m reduction on their original valuation.
Sancho, who has also previously been linked with Chelsea and Liverpool, has scored 42 goals and registered 56 assists in 124 appearances for BVB since arriving from Manchester City in 2017.
