Hundreds of defiant Scots are still planning to travel to Blackpool for the weekend to watch the Old Firm game, despite warnings not to.
Blackpool Rangers pub, The Gallant Pioneer, has announced it will close for the weekend after being inundated by hundreds of Scottish football fans still wanting to visit.
The Station Road pub made the announcement yesterday after Nicola Sturgeon urged people not to travel to Blackpool amid an outbreak of infections linked to the town.
The Scottish First Minister said on Wednesday (October 14) that 180 cases had been linked to people travelling to and from the resort, but has since said that this figure has gone up to 286.
However despite this, Scots reportedly continue to make plans to travel down to the seaside town to watch the game, causing The Gallant Pioneer to announce its closure in the interest of safety.
