TRAVELLERS to Scotland from South America or Portugal must quarantine on arrival over fears of a new Covid strain from Brazil.
The new crackdown will come into force from 4am tomorrow.

It comes as the UK Government slapped a flight ban on ALL planes coming in from South America and Portugal to try and stop the mutant variant hitting our shores.
During today’s coronavirus briefing, Nicola Sturgeon said she was “concerned” about the new strain.
It is feared the Brazilian variant is more transmissible, like the strain that was discovered in the UK last month, and treatments and vaccines may have less effectiveness against it.
