Prince Harry called the Queen to ask about Prince Philip’s health, according to reports.
The Duke of Edinburgh, 99, was admitted to hospital on Tuesday as a “precautionary measure” while feeling unwell.
This led to Prince Harry phoning to find out how his grandfather was, according to reports – amid a rocky week for the royal family.
The Duke of Sussex, 36, rang the Queen, 96, to enquire over Prince Philip’s condition, according to the Mail on Sunday.
The prince is also said to be self-isolating in his mansion in California in case he needs to jet back to Britain in the coming days.

Prince Philip remains in King Edward VII Hospital in London, where he was visited by his son Prince Charles, 72, this weekend.
His illness is not thought to be related to coronavirus and he is said to be in “good spirits”.
News of Prince Harry’s call came after a week in which he and wife Meghan Markle, 39, confirmed their decision to forever quit their roles as working royals.
The pair said in a statement that “service is universal” after Buckingham Palace confirmed they would no longer be in public service.
The couple, who are now based in the US, have had their honorary appointments and patronages removed.
They formally stepped down from their roles as ‘senior royals’ in March last year, which was due to be reviewed next month.
The duke and duchess are due to appear in a ‘tell-all’ interview with Oprah Winfrey on March 7, which has apparently been pre-recorded.
They will sit down the talkshow legend to discuss a wide range of issues, including the upcoming birth of their second child.
But, given the change of events between last week’s filming, the televised chat could now be re-edited.
It is understood the couple spoke about their roles within the royal family which have “significantly” now altered since sitting down with Oprah.
CBS would ideally like to re-shoot some of the interview to discuss the changes that have now taken place, an insider said.
A source said: “When the Duke and Duchess spoke, it was never envisaged they would have their patronages taken away.
“But things have significantly changed for them since they eagerly sat for Winfrey and poured their hearts out.
ITV realised the pair were to give an interview with Oprah when a member of the chat show host’s team got in touch.
They requested access to a 2019 interview with Meghan in which she complained no one had asked her is if she was “ok”.
Meghan will be the main focus of the show, discussing “stepping into life as a royal, marriage, motherhood, philanthropic work”.
She will also talk about “how she is handling life under intense public pressure”, with Harry joining the stage at some point.
It was announced on Valentine’s Day that the prince and Meghan are expecting a baby to accompany son Archie, one.
