LISA Armstrong joked she’s “too famous” to be friends with Piers Morgan after throwing out his book.
The Good Morning Britain presenter called out Ant McPartlin’s ex-wife after The Sun revealed she threw out Piers’ book with her ex’s stuff.
Piers claimed he was “hurt” by his friend’s betrayal – and decided to “shame” her on the show yesterday.
However, Lisa – who is Piers’ make-up artist on his Life Stories show – sent a video in on Wednesday morning to rub it in his face.
Lisa said: “Hi Piers, it’s Lisa. Really sorry for what happened yesterday about the book in the box outside my house.
“Slightly awkward, but as you can see I’ve got my own sofa now and my name up in lights.
“So it is what it is, bye!”
Piers laughed it off and said he was the one who made her famous.
Meanwhile, Susanna said: “Was Lisa using it as an opportunity to promote her new make-up brand?”
Piers replied: “Do you think by any chance Lisa has just done a big deal with Avon?”
The presenter said he was “hurt” yesterday after she threw out his book.
Speaking on Tuesday morning’s show, he said: “Ant McPartlin’s ex Lisa Armstrong – who is a wonderful make-up artist, she does my make-up on Life Stories.
“And I thought we were friends. I really did. I was quite friendly with Ant.
“Terrible scenes in The Sun, ‘Ex clears out star’s stuff. Ant McPartlin ex-wife left his unwanted stuff on the street for folk to take.’ Apparently this is stuff that Ant himself didn’t want back.
“These are the unwanted items that neither of them ever wanted to see again. There were things you’d expect, like Craig Revel Horwood’s Tales From the Dancefloor. Wholly understandable.
“His Newcastle shirt. I wouldn’t want to keep them either. A Team Ant foam hand from Saturday Night Takeaway. Again, why would you want that?
“So you have all these things – and in the middle of it, you have a copy of my book, The Insider.”
Lisa left the boxed items outside their former marital home with a sign saying: “Help yourself.”
