Katya Jones, 31, joined Nicola, 38, on the Strictly Come Dancing It Takes Two sofa to reflect on their performance from Saturday evening. The pair were the first duo to take on a Couple’s Choice routine and impressed the judges and BBC viewers watching at home alike with the emotional dance. As she spoke about how she was feeling whilst on the dance floor, the Olympic boxer became very passionate. Nicola ended up dropping an informal slang term into her interview, leading her professional partner to apologise to those who might have been offended.
The pair used props during their performance at the weekend and presenter Zoe Ball, 49, asked if Nicola was worried about a technical difficulty occurring.
“It took me a fair few days to get the flags down. I just couldn’t get the sequence right,” the Olympic boxer explained.
“These b****y flags,” she continued and even though she wasn’t reprimanded by the spin-off show host, Katya knew her partner shouldn’t have used such a word pre-watershed.
Cupping her right hand to her mouth, the professional dancer could be seen mouthing the word “sorry” as she apologised to viewers.
Zoe decided to carry on with the interview, however, and no more expletives were dropped as the pair talked about their upcoming routine.

This weekend, the pair are set to take on the Jive to Grease Lightnin’ from the classic Hollywood hit, Grease.
Speaking of her plans for the dance, Katya said: “It’s an iconic scene, isn’t it? We’ve got Nicola coming down on a huge engine.
“So many fast moves as well and a lot to think about,” she continued before adding there had been some difficulty in training with getting Nicola to kick her legs.
The Olympic boxer explained: “This week has been so tough getting the timing right, trying to get the routine down, pointing the toes and trying to stay on the balls of my feet.”
Ahead of the third live show this weekend, Nicola and her professional dancing partner are slipping down the bookmakers’ tables with regards to who could win the season.
Although she was a favourite to become champion before taking to the dance floor, the Olympic boxer is now a few spaces short of getting her hands on the Glitterball Trophy.
According to the latest odds from Coral bookmakers, the sportswoman currently sits at 12/1 to become victor with Katya.
This puts her in the sixth position, with soap star Maisie Smith, 19, and chart-topper HRVY, 21, leading the way at 2/1.
Coral spokesperson John Hill said: “Maisie and HRVY have been linked together romantically off the dance floor.
“And our betting suggests they will be each other’s biggest rival in the bid to lift the Glitterball Trophy this year.”
Following the second live show, however, Nicola and Katya received the third-highest scores from the judging panel.
However, it seems comedian Bill Bailey, 55, improved his chances with viewers as his odds of winning now stand at 6/1.
Strictly Come Dancing continues Saturday at 7:25pm on BBC One. Strictly Come Dancing It Takes Two airs weeknights at 6:30pm on BBC Two.
