How does the Scotland Covid postcode checker work?
With the rules in place varying from level to level and region to region, the Scottish Government has created a postcode checker which enables residents to check which restrictions apply to their local area.
You can find the tool here on the Government’s website, which also includes details of how to find out your postcode if you don’t know it.
Simply enter your postcode and the tool not only tells you which of the five levels your home falls under, but outlines the restrictions that apply to you in full.
Under the initial announcement no areas of Scotland were put into either level zero – the lowest alert – or the most serious restrictions of level four.
On Tuesday 10 November, under the first review of the system, it was announced that the local authority areas of Angus, Fife and Perth and Kinross would be moved up from level two to level three from 6am on Friday 13 November.
