Glaswegians will wake up to tier three lockdown tomorrow.
The city is one of 19 local authority areas across Scotland to be placed in the highest alert level, as the country grapples to control the second wave of coronavirus.
The move follows grim news today from the Scottish Government that the country’s death toll has reached 2,849.
And it comes in the wake of Boris Johnson’s decision to place England in a second nationwide lockdown.
Nicola Sturgeon said on Thursday she’ll review Scotland’s levels weekly every Tuesday, with the first one due on November 10.
Any changes will be implemented three days later on a Friday.
So what does level three lockdown mean for the us?
At home
- you won’t be asked to distance from people you live with, or stop taking outdoor exercise.
Socialising
- forbidden at home, other other than with members of your household, or in limited circumstances.
