The latest figures for new cases of coronavirus across the UK reveal there have been 138 new positive cases in south east London and north Kent over the past week as Covid-19 rates continue to creep up.
Of the new cases, 34 of these were in Greenwich which has seen its Covid-19 rate more than double in the past seven days.
The rolling seven-day figures show the number of new cases for every local authority area in England, based on tests carried out in laboratories and in the wider community.
The figures, representing the seven days to August 30, show a Covid-19 rate based on the number of new cases per 100,000 people.
Data for the most recent three days (August 31-September 2) has been excluded as it is incomplete and likely to be revised, meaning these are the most up to date figures as of September 2.
Virus infection rates across south east London have been yoyo-ing at a relatively safe rate for two months now, but are continuing to rise slowly.
