The victim’s brother lay sleeping on the couch in the living room – just yards away from the scene of the attack.
Lying Jeffery claimed the mum had consented to the attack and said in court he’d given her “oral pleasure.”
And it has now emerged the creep also removed himself from social media after carrying out the assault.
A source said last night: “He’s deleted everything so no one can find him – there’s absolutely no trace of him anywhere online.
“He has moved about all the time, going to new areas where people don’t know him.
“It so they don’t know about his past.
“He has tried to run from the truth and make a new life for himself, while his victim is left to come to terms with what has happened.
“But he couldn’t escape justice – and everyone will now know what he did and what kind of man he is.”
Justice did catch up with Jeffery and he was convicted of the sex attack last week – more than three years after committing the offence.
His victim said she did not wish to comment on the case, but said: “It’s a traumatic experience and after waiting for so long, I’m just glad it’s over now.”
And a source said the long-awaited verdict would bring her and her family some closure.
They said: “It seemed like it was dragging on forever, taking more than three years for the case to come to court.
“But it was such a relief for the family that the trial eventually got underway – and that the jury convicted him.
“It obviously doesn’t take away from what happened but is a big step forward for them.
“It means they can finally put it behind them and not have it hanging over them, wondering what’s going to happen.”
Giving evidence from behind a screen, so she did not have to see Jeffery, she said she went to bed, leaving them drinking and listening to music in the living room.
And she woke up some time later to find Jeffery in between her legs, performing a sex act on her against her will.
After the attack, she fled her flat in tears, and had to give police officers probing Jeffery the clothes she was wearing at the time.
She also had to hand over used toilet roll as evidence – after she wiped herself when going to the toilet.
She gave police the keys to her flat, as Jeffery was still in the property, and spent the next few days staying with a friend so she did not need to return to the scene of the crime.
Swabs taken from the woman’s body contained Jeffery’s DNA and he messaged her the next day to say sorry for the crime.
He wrote: “I’m so soz if I freaked you out.
“I just thought you might be wanting that.
“Don’t freak out. I misread the signals.
“I’m so so soz.”
Jeffery, who was warned he could be caged for the sex attack, will be sentenced next month.
