A PATIENT is ‘fighting for life’ after catching coronavirus at the same state hospital where a Covid-positive nurse turned up for work.
We told how bosses were forced to lock down a ward at the psychiatric hospital at Carstairs, Lanarkshire, after the worker’s gaffe.
Patients and staff are believed to be furious at the Covid breach, which happened over two weeks ago at the Lanarkshire facility.
And it’s understood a patient, now at Wishaw General Hospital, is badly ill after also testing positive.

A number of Carstairs patients have been confined to their rooms while the fallout is dealt with by bosses.
