Ant McPartlin has opened up about playing uncle to his Britain’s Got Talent co-host Declan Donnelly’s daughter Isla.
The Geordie host talked fondly about the little girl – who Dec welcomed with wife Ali Astall in 2018 – in a new interview.
Speaking on Steve and Karen’s Breakfast Show on TFM, the star called Isla ‘absolutely beautiful.’
‘I haven’t done a nappy. I was round yours the other day,’ said the 43-year-old.
‘We were doing a lot of playing in the garden – she’s absolutely beautiful.’
Dec meanwhile revealed that Isla has started talking, and that she’s learned how to say his name.
‘She has just turned two a couple of weeks ago, running around and talking – we are getting words out of her.’
The star added: ‘My wife has taught her to say daddy Dec, she just shouts Dec, Dec.’
Dec married Ali in 2014.
Ant is currently in a relationship with Anne-Marie Corbett, and was previously married to Lisa Armstrong from 2006 to 2020, after announcing their separation in 2018.
Ant and Dec are known for hosting shows like I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! and Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway together.
They first found fame on the 90s TV show Byker Grove.
